originally we were planning a day trip to santa barbara, but as the weekend approached we realized our plan was a bit overzealous. unwilling to let the long awaited day of wine tasting completely pass me by we opted for an alternative option, temecula. calle lovingly offered to be our designated driver and although i had my reservations about wine tasting in temecula, i kept an open mind. first of all, temecula is only a little more than an hour away. secondly, the weather was beautiful. thirdly, any day spent with good friends while drinking wine can be considered a success!
with these simple facts in mind, plus the reality that temecula is very pretty, i have thrown out my negative predisposition about the town & am enthusiastically looking forward to our next visit.
jade enjoyed herself as well! she played in the grass, happily posed for several photos, and met horses for the first time.
