father's day

trots att töserna låtit mig sova ut rejält så såg jag ändå så här
trött ut när jag kom ner klockan 9.

min dåsighet övergick dock snabbt i entusiasm när jag såg den är lilla sparrisen
stå stolt vid sin tavla med tre fantastiska fars dagsaktiviteter att välja mellan.
jag var länge inne på alternativ 2, men valde till sist alternativ 3 efter att ha kollat in surfrapporten.

här ser ni alla mina fina paket, och all fantastisk frukost som nicole dukat upp.

jag börjar öppna paket och självklart vill schoodlebug vara med och hjälpa till.

en ny rakapparat!

jag förstår inte varför jag fick nya pjuck - de gamla var ju tipptopp!

självklart måste jade testa skorna innan jag får lägga min hand på dem...

nytt lukta gott fick jag också.

… och förstås ett fantastiskt kort med ord som gjorde mig så rörd.

easter sunday

the day starting out with egg dying.

we had lots of different colors. red, orange, yellow, two shades of blue and green.

schnoodle popper helped out, mostly by eating the eggs...

our adorable little jade loves helping out. every chance she gets to carry something, push the stroller herself, make the bed or fold laundry - jade bug is on it.

here she is, helping out with emptying out the dishwasher. i tell her that if she keeps this up, she may be a fantastic maid one day!

jade's first cut | mullet assassination?

it seems we've been talking about jade's first hair cut for the past year so we finally decided to bite the bullet and take our mullet muffin to get a real hair cut.  since a first cut comes only once in a lifetime, we opted for the real deal, "first cut" salon.  the name says it all...

jade was very happy to take a seat in the airplane but quickly realized this was not a ride.  it only took a few squirts of water to bring on the tears.  the poor stylist must be quite accustomed to this type of behavior as she kept her cool and continued with the cut.  below is our "before" photo, although this isn't really a fair depiction of jade's unmanageable mane.

when it was all said & done, jade ended up with a
poodle-esque waterfall atop her head, complete with two flowers.
mullet still in-tact, although i'm keen on saying it is a bob in the making.

to celebrate her bravery, pappa gave her a sucker.
i'm gonna go out on a limb here and say he's the sucker!
a little bit of gothenberg humor never hurt anyone ;)
