cotie's life without bread

i'm doing a healthy flush which, amongst many things, eliminates bread.  i thought i'd miss it terribly but look how lovely life can be without bread!

sunday brunch at home

calle and i invited some friends over for sunday football brunch.  despite the sad fact that our charger game was not broadcast [it's a mystery], we still had a wonderful afternoon complete with omelette bar & waffle parlor.  joining us from L.A. were gayle & andrew who are expecting their first baby, a girl named sasha, in december.  also in attendance, our favorite neighbors, frank & gina.  jade loved the company & we loved spending the day with friends.

what have we done?

i'm enjoying a very early sunday morning breakfast with some girlfriends when my phone buzzes excitedly with a text message from calle containing the above image.  his text says, "this is your daughter after i told her she couldn't have any more swedish candy.  note the candy car already in her mouth."

it is at this very moment i realize, far too late, that we have created a monster...

christmas pajamas

last christmas my parents sent jade a pair of winter pajamas which were a tad bit large.  this november, however, they fit perfectly.  tonight jade proudly premiers her christmas pajamas.  let the runway show begin!
